Michael Migliore is a board certified licensed acupuncturist living and working in Hallowell, Maine. He is designated as a Diplomate in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Michael graduated from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in Manhattan with a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from St. John’s University College of Pharmacy, New York. He is also a registered pharmacist in Maine and New York.

Acupuncture style

Michael’s style of acupuncture incorporates a variety of traditions including: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM); Japanese Acupuncture; French and Vietnamese meridian styles; Korean Su Jok Acupuncture; modern physical medicine practices (myofascial release of soft trigger points) developed by the late Janet Travell, MD; auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture); and acupressure and cupping. While providing acupuncture services in his New York clinic, Michael treated World Trade Center disaster emergency responders and survivors.

Background

As a professor, he taught masters level classes at: Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, NYC; Mercy College, NYC; and at the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New York Chiropractic College, Seneca Falls, NY. He is also a former board member of both the Acupuncture Society of Maine and of New York.

Michael is the author of Acupuncture Logic, Trafford Press and served as system director of pharmacy for the State of Maine’s two psychiatric hospitals. He resides in Hallowell with his wife and dog. Michael enjoys kayaking and the outdoors – rain or shine or snow.
